Following the successful community vote, the Green PowerPay Program has been approved, and the Green Project is launching a 6-month beta testing period (“Beta PowerPay Period”) for the PowerPay Program, commencing shortly after the vote. During this Beta PowerPay Period, the program will operate using semi-automatic processes, and we wish to disclose the following information to ensure transparency and manage community expectations.
Nature of the Beta PowerPay Period: The Beta PowerPay Period is a testing phase to evaluate the functionality, scalability, and reliability of the PowerPay dApp and its integration with the DGF Battery, as outlined in the Green PowerPay Program (April 13, 2025). Users who pay their monthly power bills (up to $250 USD) with GREEN Tokens via the PowerPay dApp will receive discounts credited in GREEN Tokens, based on their chosen PowerPay NFT tier (10%–100%). However, certain processes—such as payment verification, NFT activation, and discount crediting—will be semi-automatic, involving a combination of automated Smart Contract execution and manual oversight by the Program Administrator, Set Power Free (SPF), and/or delegated third parties.
Risks and Limitations of Semi-Automatic Processes:
- Delays and Errors: The semi-automatic processes may result in delays in processing payments, verifying power bill submissions, activating NFTs, or crediting discounts. Manual oversight introduces the potential for human error, which could affect the accuracy or timeliness of discount distribution.
- System Interruptions: As a beta test, the PowerPay dApp may experience technical issues, including system downtime, bugs, or integration failures with utility APIs, the Green Network, or the DGF Battery, potentially disrupting user access or functionality.
- Exploitation Risks: Despite monitoring tools and penalties outlined in the proposal (Section 3), semi-automatic processes may be more vulnerable to exploitation, manipulation, or gaming (e.g., fraudulent bill submissions), which could delay or impact discount distribution for legitimate users.
- Limited Support: SPF will provide 24/7 support via Green community platforms, but response times may be slower during the beta phase due to manual components and potential high volume of inquiries.
- No Guarantee of Performance: Participation in the Beta PowerPay Period is voluntary and at the user’s own risk. The Green Project, Green DGF, SPF, and their affiliates do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully automated operation of the PowerPay dApp during this beta phase. Discounts credited in GREEN Tokens (e.g., $25–$250 USD in GREEN, based on NFT tier) are subject to successful verification and may be delayed, adjusted, or reclaimed in cases of exploitation, as outlined in the proposal.
User Responsibilities: Users are responsible for ensuring accurate power bill submissions, maintaining their Green wallet security (e.g., passcodes), and complying with the program’s terms, including the limitation of one active NFT per month. Users should monitor community platforms for updates and report any suspected issues or exploitation via the designated reporting channel.
Exclusion of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Green Project, Green DGF, SPF, and their respective affiliates, officers, agents, or contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in the Beta PowerPay Period, including loss of GREEN Tokens, delays in discount crediting, system failures, or exploitation by third parties. This exclusion applies regardless of the cause, including negligence, and even if such damages were foreseeable.
Regulatory Compliance and Jurisdictional Limits: The Beta PowerPay Period is subject to the Green Node Network Charter’s exclusion of Restricted Jurisdictions (Section 7). Users are responsible for ensuring their participation complies with local laws and regulations. The Green Project does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice, and users should consult professionals as needed.
Community Engagement and Feedback: During the Beta PowerPay Period, SPF will conduct bi-monthly AMAs and feedback campaigns, per the proposal (Section 3), to gather user input and address issues. Semi-annual reports will detail DGF Battery usage, NFT sales, exploitation incidents, and resolutions, ensuring transparency. Users are encouraged to participate in these engagements to help refine the program.
Right to Modify or Terminate: The Green DGF reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Beta PowerPay Period at its discretion, with notice provided via community platforms, as outlined in the proposal’s termination protocols (Section 5). In such cases, SPF will assist with transitions, and Battery Managers may freeze assets if necessary.
Acknowledgment: By participating in the Beta PowerPay Period, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this disclaimer, the Green PowerPay Program Proposal, and the Green Node Network Charter. Users accept the risks associated with semi-automatic processes and beta testing, and they participate at their own own risk.
